Ownership structure

Although there is a company named "Channel Zero", most of the group's assets are held through a set of related companies with the same owners:[1]

A similar situation exists for the group's over-the-air stations, although the ownership differs slightly:[2]

Assets

Specialty channels

Channel Zero owns and operates three specialty television channels:

Channel Zero also has an interest in three adult category 2 digital cable channels:

The 3 channels are a joint venture between Channel Zero, Adults Only Video & Sureflix Digital Distribution.

Channel Zero also provides Fight Network, a Canadian digital television service, with use of its broadcasting facilities to output its signal and operate the service. The two companies signed a deal in 2005 that allows Fight Network access to Channel Zero's broadcast facilities.[3]

Over the air stations

Channel Zero also owns two over the air stations which it acquired from Canwest[4] and took control of on August 31, 2009. Both stations are independent and were previously O&Os of the E! system:

Both since re-added US programming in fall 2010.

Distribution

Ouat Media [pronounced "what"] is a company specializing in the worldwide distribution of short films to various multi-platform mediums including broadcast television, internet, mobile devices, and other newly-developed media.

It features such Canadian short films as "I Do, Do I?", which won a Remi Gold Award at the 43rd WorldFest-Houston Independent International Film Festival. The score was composed by acclaimed producer Vikas Kohli at Fatlabs studios.[5][6]

Ouat Media is based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and was created in 2006.
